Frequently asked questions

About EVOTEC

1. Where are your covers manufactured?

We manufacture our covers in Poland (European Union) from fabrics sourced in Europe.

2. I do not speak Polish, how will we communicate?

No problem – we can speak English!

3. Do you design and sew the covers yourselves, or do you represent another company or are you an importer/dropshipper?

We design and sew all covers ourselves, individually in Poland, according to the specifications you provide. We do not resell other companies’ products.

4. Do you deliver covers for robots to the US/Canada/Australia?

Yes, we deliver covers all over the world!

5. My robot works in a very wet/abrasive/hot environment – what can you offer me?

We make covers for robots working even in extreme conditions – if you want to see examples, visit our case study section. And if you want to know what we would offer you specifically – let’s talk!

From enquiry to solution

1. How do you know how to make a cover? What information do you need to propose a solution?

Before making an offer, we will ask you questions about your device, the conditions in which it operates, and your priorities in protecting it. Based on this, we will propose a solution that will effectively help protect your robot.

2. Do you need to come and take measurements in person to make a cover?

No, that’s not necessary! We work with CAD files, drawings and photographs. Sometimes we may ask you to measure a specific component. But we don’t need to see the robot in person to make a cover.

3. Do I need to send you my robot so that you can make a cover for it?

Absolutely not! We work with CAD files, so we do not need to have the robot physically.

4. The robot I want to cover is a rare model/is new on the market/is a custom device. Can you cover it too? Will you still make a cover for it?

We can cover any model, we just need the relevant data (drawings/CAD files, robot operating conditions).

5. Can I decide for myself what the cover should be made of?

If you have any suggestions, we would be happy to hear them, but the final decision on the material and design of the cover is made by us, based on the information you provide about the robot’s operating conditions.

About covers

1. Do the covers fit every robot and piece of equipment?

Of course, we sew custom-made covers, always for a specific model of robot/device. We adjust the design so that nothing needs to be disconnected when installing/removing the cover.

2. What are the covers made of?

The covers are made of technical materials with different properties, depending on the conditions in the robot’s environment and what we want to protect it from.

3. How will I know how to put on the cover?

Don’t worry – we provide illustrated assembly instructions that explain step by step how to install the cover. It usually takes no more than 10 minutes. If you encounter any problems during installation, let us know and we will help you remotely.

4. Does the cover restrict the robot's movements?

We design our covers so that they do not restrict programmed movements and ensure maximum freedom of movement for the robot.

5. Do the covers come with a warranty?

It depends – usually covers come with a 1 to 12-month warranty, but sometimes there is no warranty. Robot covers are consumable products, so they are not covered by a warranty. If you would like to know more, please contact us.

6. How can I be sure that the cover will fit? What if it turns out that it does not fit?

We sew to measure and have already completed over 30,000 projects for various models of machines and robots. In most cases, the covers fit perfectly. However, please note that this is a tailor-made product, so it may require adjustments; in this case, we can modify the design.

7. Can you come and install the cover?

There is no need (we provide installation instructions and remote support if necessary), but if you want us to come, let’s talk!

8. To what extent does the cover cover the robot?

Our ‘standard’ solutions cover the robot from axis 1 to 6. The cover usually ends just above axis 1. Most covers are one-piece, but we can also make separate base covers (below axis 1) or two- or multi-piece covers, depending on your needs.

9. What is the service life of the cover?

We want our covers to be as durable as possible. Their service life depends on how intense the harmful conditions are and what type of solution it is. For example:

  • a cover in a foundry, working at a casting furnace, exposed to strong heat radiation and molten metal splashes: 8-10 months
  • a cover in ‘dry’ mechanical processing, dust and metal shavings: 2-3 years
  • cover in polyurethane foam spraying: 3-4 years
